Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2026 · These terms are a draft and have not yet been reviewed by a solicitor.
1. About Fidescore
Fidescore is operated by Fidescore Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our platform allows verified UK businesses to submit and read payment behaviour reviews of other UK companies and public sector bodies.
By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use Fidescore.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and acting on behalf of a legitimate UK business to submit reviews. You must provide accurate information about yourself and your business when registering.
3. Your Reviews — Truth and Accuracy
This is the most important section of these terms. By submitting a review on Fidescore, you declare that:
- The review is based on your genuine, first-hand commercial experience with the reviewed company or public body.
- Every factual statement in your review is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You can provide supporting evidence (such as invoices, contracts, or correspondence) if requested by Fidescore or required in legal proceedings.
- Your review does not contain any false statements of fact about the reviewed entity.
Defamation warning: Under the Defamation Act 2013, publishing a false statement of fact that damages a company's reputation may expose you to legal liability. Fidescore takes defamation seriously. We will cooperate fully with any legitimate legal process requiring us to identify the source of a review.
4. Prohibited Content
You must not submit reviews that:
- Are false, misleading, or based on second-hand information
- Are submitted on behalf of a competitor to damage their reputation
- Contain personal attacks, discriminatory language, or content unrelated to payment behaviour
- Disclose confidential information in breach of any agreement
- Are submitted by an employee or associate of the reviewed company to artificially inflate their score
- Constitute harassment or are part of a coordinated campaign
5. Review Moderation and Removal
Fidescore reserves the right to remove or edit any review at any time, without notice, where we reasonably believe it:
- Violates these Terms
- May be defamatory or legally problematic
- Has been the subject of a valid complaint from the reviewed entity
Companies and public bodies may request removal of a review by contacting us at legal@fidescore.uk. We will investigate all requests and respond within 10 business days.
We operate a complaints and takedown process in accordance with Section 5 of the Defamation Act 2013. We are not liable for defamatory content submitted by users provided we act in accordance with that process.
6. Credits and Payments
Fidescore operates a credit system. Credits may be purchased or earned by leaving verified reviews. Credits are non-refundable once spent. Purchased credits do not expire.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Fidescore does not store your payment card details.
7. Intellectual Property
The Fidescore platform, branding, and all content we create are owned by Fidescore Ltd. Company data sourced from Companies House is Crown Copyright and used under the Companies House API terms.
By submitting a review, you grant Fidescore a perpetual, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and use your review on the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
Fidescore provides a platform for user-generated content. We do not verify the accuracy of reviews beyond the identity verification steps described on our platform. The Fidescore rating is a calculated aggregate of user reviews and should not be the sole basis for commercial decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fidescore Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or reliance on any review or score.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
